It was just another day at ThisNext headquarters when we decided to make a music video. Who doesn’t love a little ’80s fun? With some sequins for inspiration, a few run-throughs of the Loverboy classic, and a Purple Rain ensemble pulled out of CEO Scott Morrow’s closet, we were ready to rock.

It’s that time of the week again … Les Deux time.

Tomorrow night Les Deux is going to be bigger and better than ever. Not only is it the 2 year anniversary for Wednesday nights at Les Deux but there will be special guests too. The featured designer this week is Sorum/ Noce — Matt Sorum is from the band Velvet Revolver. There will also be a special performance by the Darling Stilettos. Come join us for drinks and a whole lot of fun.

For all who missed, ThisNext.com went to Les Deux last night! The slideshow featured t-shirts from Junkfood (a great company that mixes everyones favorite old movies and television shows with a retro 80’s style t-shirt). Of course there were also slideshow favorites like the toilet with a fish tank in it and the Hello Kitty rifle. We passed out party bags filled with condoms and childhood favorite Ring Pops (the candy that never stops being entertaining). The featured guest this week at Les Deux was German-loved stud David Hasselhoff. What a babe. Make sure to come and join us and ThisNext next Wednesday at Les Deux’s Summer Style Series to join the fun!

This week’s featured designer is Junk Food. I have been a huge fan of Junk Food tee shirts for sometime now. Ever since I bought one of their tees with an insane looking kitty on it — I have been hooked.

iPhone Stunt

Every once in a while us lovely VMA’s get a chance to get out of our beautiful Santa Monica office (er…Les Deux..hello!). We get some sunshine and see if we can get a few more people to check out our rad website! Today our job was to go down to our local Apple store to give some fortune cookies to the “Apple jacks” (people who live and breathe Apple products) waiting for the new iPhone. It was a great experience. We laughed, we gave away some stickers, we almost got arrested.

Apparently, and totally unknown to us, you can’t give away food to people without permission from the city. So when we saw the 5-0 walking up to us we thought it was just because they wanted a cookie. Guess again. They told us we had to get off the Promenade and wouldn’t even take a picture with us when we asked. Bummer days. But the pics from giving out the stuff are really fun. ThisNext's World Map at Les Deux

Hopefully by now you have all seen ThisWorld, which is a map of real-time shopping on ThisNext. Not to brag but it’s pretty darn entertaining to watch and it’s more addicting than ‘Keeping Up with Kardashians’. We took our fancy shopping map to Les Deux and projected it on the wall behind the DJ during last Wednesday’s Summer Style Series event. Needless to say, with products like the Wicked Weasel bikini and the Fuck Yoga skateboard … the map was quite a hit.

Special thanks to Edward who is on our all-star VMAs at ThisNext for making this giant club-worthy map a reality.
